Everything you need to know about Swanny youth/cadet members!

The Swanny youth and cadet category os for members aged 13-21. Here you will further your beach knowledge by gaining you Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) for ages 13-14, and bronze medallion for ages 15+. This is the next step in the world of surf life saving, and teaches you the basic skills of being a lifesaver.

Becoming a youth and cadet member is the beginning of the road as a surf lifesaver. You will learn basic surf awareness skills, as well as how to perform rescues and work in a patrol setting.  Each patrol has experienced members, and this is a great way to learn how to become a lifesaver, meet new people and keep our amazing beach safe!
