Congratulations to Leesa Equid who is the Club Champion Lifesaver for 2020/21.

1. If Ben had walked the long run there would not have been a tie.
2. If Sam could paddle a ski there would have been two more races he could have done.
3. As the By-Laws say, in the event of there being a tie, all tied competitors shall be deemed the winner.
4. Nins won the beach sprint, last season she was pregnant. Last season Annie won the beach sprint, this season she is pregnant.
5. Kath won the ironwoman, last season she had just finished being pregnant. Last season Nat won the ironwoman, this season she is pregnant.

1. From SIS Round 1 Team App chat:
"Lucy's results "Endurance Beasts" states "Briggy (winner for not cheating)" as she noted that Ray and Ben both took a short cut at Swanny and did not round the northern red buoy on at least the ski leg and possibly also the board leg. They are both awarded a 5 min time penalty in each instance. No doubt some discussion will ensue. The results will probably need to be revised anyway as Lucy Gunzburg competed in the 4 km beach run at the State Endurance Championships at Sorrento Beach. Lachlan Broomhall also competed."
2. So the Round 1 results were revised, Lucy was given points and the time penalties removed.
3. The last time there was a tie, the Ironmen and Ironwomen were surveyed on (a) accepting the tie (b) counting all rounds (c) adding another round and (d) countback to determine. They voted to add another round for which the Caris Cup was used. There will no doubt be some discussion this time!
