Training

Swanny training caters to all levels of experience and fitness and is for all Members.

During the summer months, formal training includes Monday night swimming, Tuesday and Friday boards, Wednesday morning skis and evening Surf Fit (cross training) and Thursday morning running. Multiple other formal and informal sessions are held including sprints and iron training. Keep an eye on the SNSLSC Competition and Training Facebook group. During winter, swimming, running and Surf Fit continue and Sunday ski sessions begin on the Swan River. Sunday ski sessions are a great way for beginners to learn how to paddle. Remember, summer rigs are built in winter!

Swanny also has male and female surf boat crews that train all year round. Training times are set by each crew so if surfboat rowing is something you are interested in, contact the Surf Sports Manager and they'll help put you in touch with our surf boat rowers.
