Date and Time

Sunday 13 April 2025, starting at 8:00 am Swanny time at Swanbourne Beach. Assemble 7:50 am (+/- faff) at Swanny. [Alternate course may apply]

(Note the start time as it is earlier than most of you normally arrive at the beach on a Sunday! We have a marathon event so we will have a prompt start!)

Dress of Competitors

To promote competitor safety and assist with competitor identification, competitors entering the water beyond knee depth are required to wear a high visibility lycra rash vest as the top layer of clothing.

Course "L"

Starting at the Patrol Tower at Swanbourne Nedlands SLSC, sprinting towards the ocean, around a cone, swim 50 m out to sea to a yellow buoy swimming buoy, right hand turn ; swim 100 m north to a red swimming buoy, right hand turn ; swim 200 m south to a red swimming buoy, left hand turn ; swim 50 m to shore, around a cone, running towards Cottesloe SLSC and to level with the Pylon, swimming out and around the Pylon, right hand turn, swim to shore, running towards Swanbourne Nedlands SLSC to a cone, swim 50 m out to sea to a red buoy swimming buoy, right hand turn ; swim 200 m north to a red swimming buoy, right hand turn ; swim 100 m south to a yellow swimming buoy, left hand turn ; swim 50 m to shore, around a cone, sprinting (yes sprinting!) to the finish line at the top of steps to the Patrol Tower. [Alternate course may apply, subject to actual swimming conditions on the day]

Prize

Presentation of the Perpetual Trophy at the conclusion of the Caris Cup - Club Marathon Trophy Event.

Name engraved on the Perpetual Trophy, to be presented at the Annual Dinner.

Trophy Winners embroidered towel, to be presented after the conclusion of the Caris Cup - Club Marathon Trophy Event.
