Education at Swanny
Swanny Surf Club places a high priority on education. Whether it be ensuring members are adequately prepared to perform rescues, introducing children to the dangers of the beach or educating members in first aid and CPR, Swanny is committed to saving lives.
New members first attain the Bronze Medallion, the minimum standard to start patrolling. In subsequent years members are encouraged to upgrade their skills and attain various ‘Higher Awards’, enabling them to take on further responsibilities whilst on patrol.
Higher Awards include:
- Senior First Aid
- Spinal Management
- Advanced Resuscitation Certificate (ARTC)
- Inflatable Rescue Boat Course
Check out the Swanny Calendar for upcoming courses.
